Dr. Gardner is a new surgeon addition to the Alabama Vascular & Vein Center medical staff. He was carefully selected by Dr. Isobe and Dr. Kingsley as one capable of maintaining the high quality service of the organization. Dr. Gardner grew up in Birmingham and attended Berry High School. He graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis where he met his future wife JaDon. He proved one of the top students at the University of South Alabama Medical School in Mobile, and was chosen for the prestigious AOA Honor Society. His general surgical residency was in the Baptist Hospital system in Birmingham where Dr. Isobe was one of his attending professors. Dr. Gardner is married and has two young daughters. They live in Homewood, Alabama where they enjoy girl activities, and Dr. Gardner enjoys sports, movies, and woodworking.

Publications and Presentations

Dr. Gardner is young in his career, and already has authored several scientific publications. As he works with Drs Kingsley, and Isobe, additional publications and presentations will be forthcoming.

 

Board Certification:

Dr. Gardner is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery. Similar to Dr. Isobe, he maintained a special interest in vascular problems and especially in vein disorders throughout his training and professional practice. Board Certified Phlebology.

Medical License

Dr. Gardner is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Alabama, and will soon be licensed in the state of Georgia.

Dr. Gardner was awarded the prestigious AOA Honor Society membership for outstanding performance during his medical training. He is a member of the following professional societies:

Hospital Appointments and Professional Practice

Dr. Gardner is on the surgery staff of Shelby Baptist Medical Center where he currently serves as the American College of Surgeons Cancer Liason Physician.
He is employed as a member of the Cahaba Valley Surgical Group, PC and he continues his practice of general surgery for that group. On Monday and Tuesday of each week he devotes his full time to the Alabama Vasular and Vein Center in Vestavia Hills.
